Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Hasegawa in 1:24 scale. The subject is the Suzuki Jimny of the fifth series of the JA11 line, that is the closing form of this generation, completed by a bull bar in front of the radiator grille. It is precisely that which is the main distinguishing mark of this box against the other Jimny boxes.
The JA11 series Jimny was built from 1990 and falls into the Japanese kei category, the class of small vehicles with limited engine capacity and external dimensions. For all its small size it is a full off-road design: a ladder frame, rigid axles front and rear, leaf springs and selectable all-wheel drive with a low range. Under the hood works a small turbocharged engine. The combination of low weight, short overhangs and a low range made the Jimny a vehicle that gets where larger off-road cars will not fit. A bull bar in front of the grille used to be a favorite accessory among owners and gives the model the character of a working vehicle that has really been used.
The body has an angular shape with sharp transitions, which makes masking a two-tone finish easier. Use good masking tape and work from the lighter shade to the darker. Finish the chassis and the interior before you close the body up. Leave the bull bar in front of the grille, the bumpers and the fender flares to the end and set them apart from the gloss of the body with a matte or semi-matte surface. Tone the tires down with a dark gray coat and dust the wheel arches lightly with pigments; the model then gains the look of a vehicle that really does go off the road.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
