An injection-molded plastic kit of the American AMT brand in 1:25 scale. The release has received a new sheet of waterslide decals with color variants, elaborate external markings and instrument panel gauges. To that belong a chrome rocker panel molding, a chrome hood ornament, optional hood hinges, the 396 cubic inch engine and tires with a red line on the sidewall. The parts are molded in white, clear and transparent red, and some of them are chrome-plated.
The 1967 model year was the last year of the second-generation Chevelle in its original form. The car received a gently reworked grille and rear end, safety features were added, and the SS 396 version kept its separate designation with a dark grille, 396 emblems on the fenders and the characteristic hood with dummy air intakes. Tires with a red stripe belonged to the sporting look of the time.
What marks the result most is the cleanliness of the chrome and the decals. Do not paint the chrome-plated parts, only separate them carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply the emblems and lettering from the sheet only over gloss varnish, soften each piece with a decal solution and press it down with a moistened cotton swab, so that it follows the engraving and the edges. Once it has dried, go over the whole surface with a clear coat, otherwise the carrier film will remain visible. The red lines on the tires are already on the parts, so it is enough to protect them from overspray.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
