Dipping ink toning ink from the Green Stuff World brand in a black green stone shade, 60 ml package.
Responsibility details are not available.
Dipping ink is a toning ink for shading finished models. It is applied over the base color, runs into the grooves, joints and recesses by itself and once dry it is darker there than on the raised areas. The model thus gains depth during a single step, without laboriously painting shadows with a brush. This shade is black green, pitched toward stone, and it suits everywhere the shadow should be cold and dirty rather than brown.
The range is built for dipping: immerse the model, let it drip and draw off the excess with a brush or the corner of a paper towel, so that the ink does not stand in pools on horizontal surfaces. Smaller areas and individual joints can also be toned selectively with a brush. The thinning, the ratio and the cleaning of the tools are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; keep to them, because every range has its own thinner.
The base paint has to be perfectly dry, otherwise the shadow bleeds into the area. Over a glossy base the ink slides into the recesses more easily, over a matte one it clings more to the surface. Before you touch the model, test the strength of the shade on a piece of scrap plastic. Once dry, it pays to fix the whole with a varnish, which will even out the sheen at the same time.
For builders of figures, fantasy models and dioramas who need to deepen the shadows on stone, masonry, tree bark or dark machinery quickly.
The model, brushes and varnish are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
