This resin set from the Czech maker Eduard brings precisely cast exhaust stacks (the exhausts) for models of the Curtiss P-40E fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory that replaces the original plastic parts with sharper and more faithful detail. Intended for more experienced modelers who work with resin.
The cast exhaust stacks have finely worked mouths and casting marks that are usually missing on injection-molded plastic. Once painted and weathered, they markedly raise the final impression of the engine section of a model. The set is designed as a direct replacement for the parts of the base P-40E kit in this scale.
First wash the remains of the release agent off the parts with lukewarm water and detergent. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw, trim them and sand them down. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use respiratory protection when sanding resin. Before painting we recommend a primer.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
