1:32 Ejection seat Martin-Baker Mk.7 (2 pcs) is a resin set of two Martin-Baker Mk.7 ejection seats in 1:32 scale. It is an accessory for the cockpit of a model, not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds two resin ejection seats of the Martin-Baker Mk.7 type for models of jet aircraft in 1:32 scale. The seat is the most conspicuous element of any cockpit, and in a large scale everyone who sees the model looks at it. The box does not hold an aircraft model; this is a replacement for the simplified part from a kit.
The Mk.7 range belongs to the British ejection seats that spread into jet aircraft on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1960s. Among others it was fitted into carrier aircraft of the US Navy, where you will meet it in the Phantom II, for instance. The design rests on vertical rails, a ballistic cartridge and the automatic sequence that separates the pilot from the seat after leaving the aircraft and deploys the parachute. Its characteristic features are the tall back, the separate seat pan with survival equipment and the firing handles.
Wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw under the seat pan, where the cut will not show once the seat is in place, and sand the surface wet with respiratory protection. It is joined with super glue. Apply a primer coat before painting. The seat looks best when you leave the body in a dark shade, set the cushions and the belts apart in a different tone and pick the sharp edges out with a dry brush. Colored ejection handles give the cockpit scale and life.
