Resin late type wheels with weighted tires for the F-14 Tomcat in 1:32 scale from Armory. A faithful replacement for the kit wheels with realistic tire flattening and crisp hub detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin wheels from Armory for the F-14 Tomcat fighter in 1:32 scale, this time in the form matching the late type of wheel. The tires have cast weighted deformation - a slight flattening where they touch the ground - thanks to which the model stands naturally like a real aircraft. The resin castings offer crisper drawing of the hubs, the brakes and the details than split kit parts allow, and they fit straight onto the landing gear legs of the kit.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American carrier-based fighter with variable wing geometry. During its long service it went through upgrades, and with them the details of the airframe changed as well, including the form of the landing gear wheels. The late type of wheel belongs to the younger machines; on a large model in 1:32 scale it is a clearly visible element by which the machines of the individual periods differ from one another.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water, cut off the casting blocks and sand the marks down with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a primer coat before painting. Paint the rubber part of the tire a dark gray rather than pure black - it looks more realistic.
This is a resin accessory - the aircraft kit itself is not included in the package.
