MASTER 1:32 late armament for the F6F-5 Hellcat consists of turned metal covered barrels for the 12.7 mm Browning machine guns, replacing the plastic barrels on a model of the carrier-based fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accurate turned metal barrels from the manufacturer MASTER in 1:32 scale, representing the late armament of the F6F-5 Hellcat with covered barrels for the 12.7 mm Browning machine guns. It is not a model of the aircraft but a refining accessory that replaces the plastic barrels from the base kit with faithful metal parts.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier-based fighter of the Second World War and one of the key aircraft of the navy in the Pacific. The F6F-5 version was the most widespread and carried the standard wing armament of 12.7 mm machine guns. The build with covered muzzles matches the later machines.
The metal barrels separate cleanly from their carrier and are glued with cyanoacrylate into the leading edge of the wing. Metal holds paint better once a base coat has been applied. The fitting belongs among the last steps of the build, so that the fine parts are not damaged.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
