Turned metal probes for the nose of the F-14 Tomcat fighter in 1:32 scale from the Polish brand MASTER, an accurate replacement for the soft plastic parts from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accurate metal probes for the nose section of the Grumman F-14 Tomcat in 1:32 scale. The Polish maker MASTER turns the parts from metal, so they have more faithful geometry and a sharper shape than the thin plastic moldings from an ordinary kit. The package is meant for fitting to the nose of a model and contains the Alpha probe and an angle of attack sensor.
The F-14 Tomcat was an American carrier-borne fighter with a variable-geometry wing, operated above all by the US Navy. On its nose it carried a number of sensors and probes whose shape is a prominent recognition feature from close up. It is exactly these small but exposed elements that tend to be the weakest on plastic models and are easily damaged.
Cut off the original plastic part and clean it up, then drill a hole for the metal probe. Glue the part in with cyanoacrylate. The metal surface only needs degreasing and holds paint well after a coat of primer. Handle the fine turned parts carefully, ideally with tweezers, so that they do not get bent.
This is not a model of an aircraft but a metal accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
