An injection-molded plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter - a large, detailed model of the early Emil from the start of the war.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3, the Emil, in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. This large, detailed model offers a richly appointed cockpit, a broken-down engine bay and the angular glazing typical of the E series. Thanks to the large scale the extent of the detail stands out; the set usually contains photo-etched parts too.
The Bf 109E-3 was an early version of the Emil, committed in the campaign in France and in the Battle of Britain in 1939 and 1940. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 601A engine and armed with cannons in the wings; characteristic were the angular canopy, the straight lines of the wing with its tailplane struts and the nose oil cooler. The Emil was the backbone of the German fighter force in the early part of the war and became one of the icons of the era; in the fighting over the English Channel it became the main opponent of the British Spitfires and Hurricanes.
Finish the cockpit and the engine bay first, and only then close the fuselage. Protect the angular glazing with masks, which make clean framing easier. Spray the base with primer, then the RLM scheme; pick out the panels with a wash and suggest wear on the edges with a dry brush. Add the markings and tactical numbers from the decal sheet.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
