This injection-molded set from the brand Trumpeter contains six small models of the American carrier-borne anti-submarine aircraft S-3B Viking in 1:350 scale. It is not a large model on its own but an accessory intended to populate the decks of US Navy aircraft carrier models. The box contains several pieces; the parts are simple, including clear glazing, and the wings can be built spread or folded as required.
The Lockheed S-3 Viking was an American carrier-borne anti-submarine and multirole jet aircraft of the US Navy. This twin-engined machine served for patrol, for anti-submarine work and later for in-flight refueling as well.
Given the size of the parts, work with tweezers and a sharp knife, and glue the small joints with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin base before painting, spray with an airbrush and mask the clear glazing. It works well to paint the aircraft away from the ship model and to fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
