A Quickboost set for reworking the wings of a model of the carrier-based Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of the Quickboost brand with which you rework the configuration of the wings on a model of the carrier-based Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat fighter in 1:72 scale. It is a conversion part, not a whole model: it replaces the corresponding sections of a kit, so that the differences between the individual Wildcat versions show on the model more precisely than the part from the box allows.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat was an American carrier-based fighter with a boxy fuselage and with a landing gear that was retracted by hand into the sides of the fuselage. The F4F-3 version had a fixed wing with no folding option. Only the later F4F-4 received wings that folded back along the fuselage, so that more machines would fit into the hangar aboard an aircraft carrier. The shape and configuration of the wing is therefore the main clue on a Wildcat as to which version it is.
Before gluing, offer the parts up dry to the place where they are to go, and only then cut away from the model what has to go. Cut surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down so that the leading edge stays straight. Super glue suits the job, because it holds even where polystyrene cement has no effect. Sand the joints and degrease the surface before painting. The exact procedure and the extent of the cut are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The delivery is the conversion set itself. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
