This is a resin set from the Brassin line that replaces the plastic landing gear wheels with precisely cast resin parts. This version has a four-spoke hub and a smooth tire. The set is intended for Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX models in 1:32 scale.
Cast wheels offer sharper detail on the rim and the tread than the plastic parts from the base kit. The tire is usually rendered with the load suggested, so the model looks more faithful once it is fitted. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for one.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The rims and the tires take an airbrush well, and the tread comes to life with dry-brushing and a fine pigment for a dusty effect.
The set contains cast parts only. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
