Responsibility details are not available.
A multimedia kit of the British Hawker Tempest Mk.II fighter from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby in the large 1:32 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic kit in the premium Hi-Tech edition complemented by resin parts, color photo-etched parts, painting masks and fabric belts, which is why it is intended rather for advanced modelers. The package offers several marking options. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents, go by the enclosed instructions.
The Tempest Mk.II differed from the better known Mk.V version in its powerplant: instead of a liquid-cooled H-engine it received the massive Bristol Centaurus radial, which gave it a shorter and more robust nose. It was one of the most capable British piston fighters, but it practically never saw action in the Second World War. It served in the RAF briefly after the war, and export machines also flew in India and Iraq.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and cut the casting blocks away; glue them with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways when sanding resin. The color photo-etched parts and the masks will markedly refine the cockpit and the glazing. The large 1:32 scale reveals every detail, so an airbrush, a primer and patient work with a panel wash and a restrained patina pay off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
