Dark Mud Ground – texture paste (100 ml)

This is an acrylic modeling paste for creating a realistic dark, muddy surface on dioramas, vignettes and bases. It is not a paint or a kit but a ready structural compound prepared for immediate use. The package contains 100 ml.

Use

  • Apply it with a spatula, a scraper or an old brush; it suits ruts, puddles and churned-up terrain.
  • Combine it with pigments and gloss effects for the impression of wet mud.
  • It is thinned and the tools are cleaned with plain water.
  • Once dry, the surface can be fine-tuned with washes and gloss varnishes for a wet look.

Who it is for

For diorama builders and modelers of vehicles who create churned-up battlefields, roads and deposits on running gear. It suits scales from large to small.

Let it dry for at least 24 hours. The product is odorless and non-toxic; keep it out of the reach of children and do not swallow it.

FAQ

No, it is a structural acrylic paste for creating the surface of terrain. The shade and the sheen are fine-tuned with pigments and varnishes once dry.

Once dry, go over selected places with a gloss effect or varnish that imitates wet mud.

The paste and the tools can be thinned and cleaned with plain water while it has not dried.

It is usable across a wide range, roughly from 1:16 to 1:72.
