A resin conversion set for the Czechoslovak Aero L-29 Delfin jet trainer in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but an exactly cast detail accessory that lets you build the L-29RS version, adapted for advanced training and light attack, from a base kit.
The L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft of its own design built in Czechoslovakia and a widespread trainer with the forces of the Eastern Bloc; it was powered by a Motorlet M-701 engine. The L-29RS version was adapted for advanced training and light attack with weapons on underwing pylons. The resin parts contain the items that set this version apart, so an ordinary kit of the trainer Delfin turns into the variant with pylons.
Resin parts need more careful preparation: wash them in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting block carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Check the fit with the wing and the fuselage before gluing, fill and sand any gaps, then spray the base color and bring out the engraving with a fine flowing wash.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
