An aftermarket photo-etched set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale. It is meant for the Tamiya 35017/35283 kit and covers both the gun itself and the accompanying heavy motorcycle. The photo-etched parts replace sheet-metal covers, brackets, screens and small equipment that injection-molded plastic handles only in simplified form. The kit itself has to be obtained separately.
The 88 mm Flak 36 and Flak 37 were German anti-aircraft guns used during the Second World War. The design rested on a cruciform platform onto which the gun was lowered from two detachable bogies; in the 37 the difference lay above all in the equipment for transmitting data from the sighting instrument. The weapon was routinely used against ground targets as well. The Zündapp KS 750 was a heavy motorcycle with a driven sidecar wheel, which served for liaison and escort duties.
The smallest photo-etched parts tend to be less than two millimeters across and fly off easily. Cut them out on a hard surface with a sharp scalpel or with special scissors, and never break them out with your fingers. Dispense cyanoacrylate through a pin or a wire: put a drop on a scrap of film and take the smallest amount from it. Excess glue runs under a part and fills in the relief. We recommend putting the motorcycle components together, the frame and the fenders above all, before the whole thing is painted, and holding butt-glued joints briefly with tweezers until the glue grabs.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit and is not a standalone model. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
