This is photo-etched barbed wire from Eduard in 1:35 scale, which serves for building faithful entanglements, fencing and field fortifications on dioramas and vignettes. It is not a model or a vehicle kit but an accessory for creating a setting. The total length of the wire supplied corresponds to roughly 8 meters at the scale of the scene.
Barbed wire completes the atmosphere of a battlefield, a trench, a camp or the boundary of a position. Combined with stakes, concrete posts or anti-tank obstacles it makes a realistic scene into which a vehicle model or figures settle naturally.
Separate the fine etched strips with a sharp knife, shape them carefully and stretch them between stakes or posts. Bond them with super glue. For a realistic look, first degrease the wire, paint it a dark metal or rusty shade and bring it out with pigments and a wash so that it looks weathered.
This is an accessory for a diorama, not a model. Stakes, a base, paints and glue are not included in the package.
