This is a photo-etched detail set from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of a helicopter in its own right but an accessory that sharpens the plastic kit of the Bell UH-1B light multirole helicopter, the legendary Huey of the era of the Vietnam War. The thin metal parts replace and fill out the simplified plastic elements.
Photo-etched sets of this type sharpen above all the cockpit and the interior, the seats with the seat belts, the instrument panels, the door panels and a number of small external details. The set is intended for models of the UH-1B helicopter in 1:72 scale and helps to reach a more faithful look than injection-molded plastic alone allows.
Cut the parts off on a hard surface and make the bends over an edge or in a photo-etch bending tool. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The glazed cockpit of the Huey reveals the interior, which is why it pays off to give the details in the cockpit care. Degrease the unpainted photo-etch before spraying.
The set is only an accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
