Responsibility details are not available.
This marking set in 1:35 scale from Star Decals is devoted to British armored cars. The name gives three types: the heavy Staghound, the small Humber Scout Car and the M3 White Scout Car. The set is an accessory to a model that is already built and it brings together vehicles that carried out related but not identical tasks in British units.
The Staghound was a large four-wheeled armored car built in North America for the needs of the Commonwealth and deployed mainly with the reconnaissance regiments, where its range and armor were valued. The Humber Scout Car was the opposite pole: a low, light vehicle for liaison, observers and commanders, which was meant above all to get there and back unnoticed. The M3 White Scout Car was an American four-wheeled armored vehicle with an open body, used in British units for liaison, transport and escort. Together the set therefore covers the reconnaissance and signals part of an armored regiment, which modelers often pass over in favor of tanks.
Armored cars have large flat sides, so markings look very bold on them and a badly seated decal shows at once. Smooth the area out and give it a coat of gloss varnish, and once it has dried even the surface out with a matte varnish. Weather the fenders and the suspension last. Work according to the instructions the manufacturer gives with the set.
The package holds decals. The model, the paints and the varnishes are not included.
