This injection-molded plastic kit captures the British heavy infantry tank Infantry Tank Mk.IV Churchill in the Mk.VII version in 1:35 scale. Characteristic above all is the long running gear with its many small road wheels and the track that wraps around the whole hull. Besides the model the set holds figures (a commander, a gunner, a driver and a civilian farmer) and accessories such as a cart and milk churns, from which a simple diorama can easily be built. The model is meant to be assembled and painted.
The Churchill was a British infantry tank built to support the infantry, which is why it had a lower speed but exceptional toughness and the ability to cross difficult terrain. The Mk.VII version was among the most heavily armored variants: it had a redesigned welded hull, a new turret and markedly thicker frontal armor. The Churchills proved themselves after the Normandy landings and in the fighting in North-West Europe, where they also served as the basis for a number of specialized engineering vehicles.
Join the parts with liquid cement for plastic. We recommend finishing and painting the running gear and any internal details before you close the hull up, because the long running gear is harder to reach later. First give the surface a primer coat and lay the British green on best with an airbrush. You build the weathering up with washes to bring out the rivets and details and with pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
