Dog Patrol - Vietnam War series is a plastic set of figures of an American patrol with a service dog from the war in Vietnam, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of figures from the maker Master Box, out of the range devoted to the war in Vietnam, captures an American foot patrol accompanied by a service (scout) dog during a reconnaissance action. The soldiers are armed with period equipment and rifles. It is an injection molded plastic kit, suitable for dioramas as well as as a scene on its own.
Service dogs played an important role in the war in Vietnam in reconnaissance, patrolling and detecting booby traps in dense tropical terrain. The motif of a patrol with a dog is a striking subject for a diorama capturing the everyday reality of the fighting in the jungle.
Cut the parts off the sprue and clean up the parting lines. Glue with thin plastic cement. The uniforms and the equipment will stand out after a base of primer, painting with acrylics and weathering with washes and pigments; to round out a tropical scene, lush vegetation and mud work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
