The GAZ Tiger is a Russian-built armored off-road car used as a reconnaissance, liaison and transport vehicle. The word family in the name suggests that several versions share one basic platform, differing in body and equipment. The interior of such a vehicle is clearly visible with the doors open, and it is exactly the detail of the dashboard and the panels that decides whether the model looks convincing.
The set contains color three-dimensional interior elements with detail rendered in a way that cannot be reproduced with a brush at this scale. The parts are shaped for Meng kits. The important point is that they have no adhesive layer of their own: they are printed on a backing decal paper and are dipped briefly before being placed. A decal softener or fixer does not belong on them, as the chemicals would attack the printed resin.
Finish the surfaces on which you will place the parts first and let them dry completely; the base must be smooth, clean, degreased and coated with gloss varnish, because it is the gloss that the part grips. Cut the part from the sheet, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. Adjust the position while the part is still wet, then press it down with a soft tool from the center to the edges. On curved surfaces press gradually and help yourself with a drop of super glue. Apply matte varnish over the parts sparingly, so that it does not obscure the rendered detail.
The set suits modelers who want the vehicle with its doors or glazing open and need the interior to stand up to close inspection. The package contains only the interior elements, unless stated otherwise; the kit, the paints and the glue are not included.
