Dragon 1:35 Gebirgsjäger (1940-1941) is a set of plastic figures of German mountain troopers from the beginning of the Second World War in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set of injection-molded plastic figures depicts members of the German mountain units (Gebirgsjäger) from the years 1940 to 1941. The figures are meant to be assembled and painted and suit as an accessory to vehicle models or dioramas in 1:35 scale. Period accessories and equipment typical of mountain troopers are usually part of the set.
The Gebirgsjäger were the elite mountain infantry of the German armed forces, trained for fighting in demanding mountain and broken terrain. In 1940 and 1941 they took part in the campaigns in Norway and in the Balkans and in the opening phase of the fighting on the Eastern Front. A characteristic mark of their uniform was the edelweiss badge and lighter field equipment adapted for movement in the mountains.
Separate the parts carefully from the sprues and clean up the mold seam lines. Glue the small joints with a thin plastic cement. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting, then paint with acrylics or enamels and bring the face and the equipment to life with shading and drybrushing. Fine washes in the folds of the cloth will support a realistic look of the uniforms.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
