This item joins the resin figure of a German soldier at a meal with the base it is set on. The name therefore states explicitly that a base belongs to the box, because the brand offers the same rendition in a version without one as well. The result is a small whole that only needs to be assembled and painted.
A lone figure in a display case always hangs in the air a little. As soon as it gets a surface to stand or sit on, it gains scale and a reason why it took up this particular stance. For a modeler who does not want to build a whole diorama, this is the shortest route to a finished exhibit. A vignette also photographs well and takes up no more room in a cabinet than the palm of your hand.
Rinse the parts, remove the casting remains and try the fit dry before gluing. Cyanoacrylate holds resin reliably; it is just a good idea to apply it drop by drop and to leave the joint alone while it dries. Paint the base before you seat the figure on it, so that you can reach the places that would be covered afterward. Finally, hide the transition between the footwear and the surface with pigment or texture, otherwise it will stay visible as a sharp dividing line. It is a good idea to bring the whole vignette together at the end with a faint breath of dust.
