An injection-molded plastic kit of the German dive bomber Junkers Ju 87D-5 in the unusually large 1:35 scale from Border Model. It is a richly equipped kit with an extensive cockpit and engine interior, clear cockpit parts, photo-etched and 3D-printed elements and decals. The large scale allows an exceptional level of detail and makes the model an impressive piece for a display case.
The Ju 87 Stuka was a symbol of the German Blitzkrieg — a dive bomber famous for its sirens and its accurate bomb delivery. The D-5 version was a late development variant deployed above all on the Eastern Front between 1943 and 1945, with lengthened wings and heavier wing armament; it was used more and more as a ground-attack aircraft against ground targets.
Assemble and paint the cockpit interior and the engine completely before you close the fuselage and the cowling — in a large scale everything is clearly visible. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue and separate the 3D-printed elements from their supports carefully. Mask the clear parts. Apply a primer, spray the surfaces with an airbrush and bring the details out with a wash, pigments and a dry brush — a large area positively invites color modulation and weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
