The photo-etch replaces simplified plastic elements such as grilles, brackets, tie-down fittings, grab handles, boxes and details of the superstructure and the hull.
The LVT-4 (Landing Vehicle Tracked) is an American amphibious tracked carrier of the Second World War period, used in large numbers in landing operations in the Pacific. The folding ramp at the rear made it easier to unload troops and cargo quickly. The set suits a build of a model of this amphibious vehicle.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and form the bends with a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Fit the exterior photo-etch as you go while building the hull. For a faithful look after service, use washes and pigments for the dust, mud and salt effects typical of amphibious equipment.
