The American Super Bazooka antitank rocket launcher as an accessory for models and scenes in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Super Bazooka is an American antitank rocket launcher of 88.9 mm caliber, that is, three and a half inches. It replaced the weaker launcher from the end of the Second World War and saw wider combat use in Korea, where it gave the infantry a weapon usable against the medium tanks of the day. It is carried on the shoulder, two men make up the crew and the tube splits into two parts for carrying. The projectile is a rocket with a shaped charge, so what decides its effect is not the impact velocity but the angle at which the warhead strikes the armor.
In 1:35 scale a weapon around a meter and a half long works out at roughly 4.3 cm, so it is a clearly visible object that can carry a role of its own in a scene. Propped against a wall, laid on a vehicle fender or carried by a soldier, it tells at once what is going on in the scene, and it tells it more plainly than another vehicle would. It is at home in scenes from the 1950s and with the armies that took the weapon on later.
For builders of scenes and for modelers looking for credible weaponry to go with a vehicle or with figures. The same weapon is also made in smaller scales under the manufacturer's part numbers 49A005/48 and 49A005/72, so a set in two sizes can be matched without hunting for another brand.
Figures, kits, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
