The real subject is the PLL05, a modern Chinese wheeled self-propelled system of 120 mm caliber whose weapon joins the qualities of a mortar and a howitzer. The package offers detailed plastic with a one-piece hull, faithfully worked running gear, vinyl tires, clear parts for the vision ports and photo-etched additions. It is a successful model of present-day equipment.
The PLL05 is a Chinese 120 mm self-propelled mortar-howitzer built on a wheeled armored chassis derived from the carrier of the ZSL/WZ series. Its weapon allows both high-angle mortar fire and flatter direct and indirect fire as a howitzer, which makes the vehicle a versatile means of fire support. It has served with the Chinese People's Liberation Army since the middle of the first decade of this century.
Assemble the chassis and try the seating of the wheels dry; glue the vinyl tires with a suitable cement. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Mask the clear vision ports while spraying. After spraying a modern scheme, use a wash into the detail, apply pigments for dust and mud to the underside and the wheels and bring the edges out gently.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
