Two infantry figures in 1:35 scale, given under the designation RAR. A figure comes out at roughly five centimeters in this scale. The poses, the division into parts, the armament and the equipment are given in the instructions and the illustrations of the manufacturer.
A figure gives a model scale. A vehicle or a gun without a human figure always looks a little as if cut out of a technical drawing, whereas a pair of infantrymen beside it gives away at once how big it is and what it was for. Two figures are enough for a simple scene: a halted patrol, a pair at a trench, a crew carrying material. The figures can also be used on their own on a small base as a practice piece before a larger diorama.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder, so that the folds of the clothing and the edges of the equipment do not disappear. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Paint from the face and the hands to the uniform and finally to the equipment and the footwear, so that you have a steady hand and a fresh brush for the small things. You draw out the volume of the clothing with a darker shade in the folds and a light brightening of the raised places; paint the eyes last and rather sparingly, an exaggerated gaze ruins a figure.
The set serves to complete a model or a diorama; paints, glue, a base and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
