Friulmodel 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 9 FAMO (early type) is a set of workable metal tracks in white metal, which replace the plastic tracks of a kit and faithfully imitate the real track of the heavy tractor.

The set holds individual white metal links, which are threaded onto the supplied wire and joined into a fully workable track. It is a metal replacement for plastic tracks, not a model of the vehicle. The set reproduces the early type of track with rubber pads and is intended for models of the German Sd.Kfz. 9 FAMO heavy half-track tractor in 1:35 scale.
The Sd.Kfz. 9 FAMO was the largest German half-track tractor of the Second World War, with a capacity of around 18 tons. It was used for towing and recovering heavy armor and for towing the heaviest guns. Thanks to its strength it was indispensable in restoring damaged tanks right in the field. The vehicle was built in several forms, which differed among other things in details of the running gear and the track.
Clean the links of flash, lay them out into two tracks and join them with the threaded wire that forms the pins; secure the joints with super glue. Blacken the metal by bluing, or spray it with a base coat and paint. The rubber pads offer a rewarding color contrast and room for weathering with washes and pigments. Assemble the track right on the running gear of the model.
This is an accessory (replacement tracks), not a complete model. The vehicle kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
