Skoda-Praga L 1:35 (Peewit) — a 3D-printed resin kit of the early Czechoslovak armored car of the beginning of the 1920s. A more demanding kit for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin kit of the early Czechoslovak armored car Skoda-Praga L in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Peewit. It is a short-run, technologically more demanding kit for experienced modelers - direct 3D printing allows the fine details of the wedge-shaped armor and the turret, which are hard to find elsewhere on so rare a subject. The real subject is a prototype armored car, not an ordinary truck.
The Skoda-Praga L was one of the first armored cars of the newly founded Czechoslovakia. It arose at the beginning of the 1920s on the chassis of the domestic Praga L truck and carried an armored superstructure with a turret in which a 3.7 cm gun was mounted, supplemented by a machine gun. The machine was ahead of its time in the unusual solution of its turret and became the forerunner of the later Czechoslovak armored cars of the PA series. It remained a prototype, yet it is a historically important milestone of domestic development.
Wash the parts free of any mold release agent and separate them carefully from the print supports. Bond exclusively with super glue (cyanoacrylate) - cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Protect your airways while sanding. Apply a quality primer, then a uniform shade of early interwar hardware and a fine patina with a wash. Bring the riveted joints and the edges of the armor out with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
