The Kamaz 4350 is a Russian off-road truck. On a model of a utility vehicle it is precisely the small markings that decide the final impression: instruments, plates, covers and surfaces that are hard to paint with a brush in 1:35 scale, and where every unsteady moment of the hand shows on the finished model.
The set brings colored three-dimensional elements for a model of the Kamaz 4350. It is not flat printing: the elements have a thickness and structure of their own, so once applied the surface reads with depth and the colored areas have sharp edges. The extent of the set and the placement of the individual elements are given in the instructions of the manufacturer.
The elements of the QD range are printed on a backing decal paper and are applied like a decal. Leave the cut-out piece in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and then slide it carefully off the paper into place, helping yourself with tweezers or the tip of a blade. The element has no adhesive layer of its own, so leave the surface under it smooth, painted and degreased and go over it with a gloss clear coat of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 kind, on which it holds reliably; on a busy shape a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution; they would attack the printed resin. Lay the element on from one edge and press it down with a soft tool, so that no air stays under it.
The set suits modelers who want clean small markings without painting with a brush, and above all those who leave doors or covers open on a model, so that the inside is visible. The package contains only the elements of the set; the vehicle model, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
