A sheet with markings for tanks and armor in South East Asia of the 1950s. According to the name it covers five countries at once: France, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. That sets it apart from sheets aimed at a single unit and it suits builders who want to show several states of the same region in one cabinet. What it holds is markings for a finished and painted model, not a kit. The scale is 1:35.
The 1950s were a period of rapid change in South East Asia: the French presence in the region was coming to an end and the newly formed armies took over whatever hardware they had to hand. The vehicle park was therefore varied and often made up of vehicles of different origin and age. The markings matched that: they were not uniform and differed from state to state and from unit to unit. For a modeler that is an advantage, because one type of vehicle can be built in several very different forms.
Because the sheet covers several states, it pays to decide first which army you are building and only then reach for the markings. Even the area under the decal out with gloss varnish and go by the manufacturer's instructions while applying. A tropical setting is matched by a faded upper surface and earthy weathering on the chassis, but the order is clear: the markings and the matte clear coat first, the effects only afterwards.
