1:35 Soviet WWII 76,2mm Tank Ammo (1941-1943)

The real subject

The F-34 and ZiS-5 guns of 76.2 mm caliber were among the most widespread Soviet tank armament of the first half of the Second World War. The F-34 was carried by the T-34 medium tank, while the ZiS-5 was the weapon of the KV-1 heavy tank. Both weapons fired the same family of rounds, so the ammunition is common to them both.

What the set contains

The set brings 76.2 mm ammunition in the early form, in 1:35 scale. The rounds bring an uncovered fighting compartment, an open ammunition locker, the bed of a supply vehicle or a free scene in a diorama where a crew is replenishing its supply to life. It is precisely these small things that give an open model a reason for being open.

Building and painting tips

Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest carefully so as not to take the cylindrical shape of the cartridge case out of true. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, because on a greasy surface paint does not hold and peels away during handling. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts, and with anything that is not polystyrene reckon with cyanoacrylate glue.

Cartridge cases look best in a brass shade, which is deepened with a darker glaze and a light burnishing of the edges. The color marking of the projectiles differed between the individual kinds of round, so settle it according to which round you want to show.

Who it is for

The set suits builders of Soviet vehicles who open a model up or set it into a scene and want the armament filled out where it can be seen as well.

The package holds the ammunition only. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
