A set of replacement tracks in white metal for building a model of the German Tiger II heavy tank and the Jagdtiger tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory: the individual metal links are threaded onto wire and create a workable track that will replace the rubber or plastic tracks from the original kit.
The Tiger II, nicknamed the King Tiger, was a German heavy tank of the end of the Second World War with an 88 mm gun and massive frontal armor. The Jagdtiger was a heavy tank destroyer built on its chassis with a 128 mm gun, one of the heaviest fighting vehicles of the war.
On vehicles this heavy a wide, sagging track is a prominent element, so metal links raise the realism markedly. Clean the links up and join them with wire, apply a primer to the metal, then the base color and a heavy patina with dust and mud.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
