Voyager Model 1:35 M4A3(76)W Sherman, mid production, basic photo-etched set is a set of etched metal parts for refining a plastic kit, not a model of the tank. The set fits the Meng TS-043 kit.

This is not a kit of the tank, but an add-on set of etched parts in thin metal sheet from Voyager Model. Its purpose is to replace, on a plastic kit you have already bought, the parts that are necessarily thicker in injection-molded plastic than they should be: fenders, grilles, brackets, loops and other detail whose real thickness in 1:35 scale is a fraction of a millimeter. The description basic set means a scope aimed at the main external detail, not at a complete rebuild of the interior. The kit itself and the paints are not included in the package. The maker prepared it for the Meng TS-043 kit.
The M4A3(76)W is one of the later versions of the American Sherman medium tank of the Second World War. The M4A3 designation means a welded hull and a Ford gasoline eight-cylinder engine, the number 76 in brackets refers to the more powerful 76 mm gun in a larger turret, and the letter W marks wet stowage for the ammunition, that is liquid-filled tanks around the ammunition bins. Mid production means a particular build state between the early and late output, which differs from the others in details on the hull, the turret and the running gear. That is exactly why photo-etched sets are made to address one subject; parts for one batch will never fit another.
Cut the etched parts off the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface; do not snap them off. Make the folds in a bending tool or between two blades, so that the edge is sharp and straight. Degrease the metal before gluing and make the joints with cyanoacrylate, or with solder where strength is needed. Cut away the plastic parts the etch replaces and level the surface, otherwise the new part will not sit. Apply a primer before painting; paint does not hold on bare metal. Suitable for modelers who already have experience of building a plastic kit.
The set contains only add-on etched parts; the kit itself is not included in the package. Make sure beforehand that the set matches the kit you are building.
