A photo-etched detail set for the Type VIIC/41 submarine from Eduard in 1:350 scale. Photo-etched parts for refining a model of the German submarine.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set in 1:350 scale meant to refine a model of the German Type VIIC/41 submarine markedly. It holds thin metal parts that replace or complement the coarser elements from the box: railings, grilles, deck gratings, antennas and other small details. It is not a submarine kit but an accessory for a base model.
The Type VIIC/41 was a late development version of the most widespread line of German submarines of the Second World War. Compared with the earlier VIIC it had a lightened and strengthened structure allowing a greater diving depth. Boats of this class formed the backbone of the German submarine war in the Atlantic.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bent in an etch bender or against a ruler and glued with super glue. Degrease the parts before gluing, and paint the set together with the model once it is on. The small elements call for patience and tweezers.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
