Responsibility details are not available.
One package in which, according to the name of the product, a wooden deck, a masking sheet and photo-etched parts for the Hasegawa 40024 kit are together. It is not a model but a set of parts with which a kit already built or under way is raised to a display piece.
The veneer comes with the laying of the planks printed on it and with a self-adhesive back. Out of the box it tends to be rather uniform, and that is exactly what gives away that it is material from a single sheet. It therefore pays to work with a stain or heavily thinned oil paint and to vary the shade gently so that some planks are lighter and others darker. Always try the tone on an offcut from the edge of the sheet first; veneer does not give its absorbency back and wood that has gone too dark can no longer be lightened.
Degrease the plastic deck and check that it is flat, as every little bump will show through thin veneer. Peel the protective film off in sections, lay the part from the center toward the edges and keep pressing it down with a smooth surface, for instance the handle of your tweezers. Trim the overhangs with a new blade led straight down, not with a drawing stroke, otherwise the wood will fray. Finally fix the deck with a matte or satin clear coat; the wood is thereby evened out and stops taking up grease from the fingers.
The set is an accessory to a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
