An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese battleship Kongo in her form of 1944, in 1:350 from the manufacturer Aoshima. It is a full hull model, which can be displayed on the stand supplied with a name plate. The package also contains clear parts for the bridge structure and a decal sheet. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Kongo was a Japanese fast battleship, originally built as a battlecruiser. She carried main guns of 356 mm caliber and thanks to her high speed escorted the aircraft carrier forces. She took part in a number of operations in the Pacific and was sunk at the close of 1944. The model captures her late wartime configuration with strengthened anti-aircraft armament.
Decide whether you are building the model with the full hull or only as a waterline one for a display case. Paint the deck details and the small guns before the final assembly. Use a thin cement on the plastic and glue the clear parts with a cement for transparent plastics. Railings and fine details can be added with photo-etched sets sold separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
