A set of small switches with a flat toggle in 1:12 scale, the kind you find on racing machines on the instrument panel, on the panel by the steering wheel and on the control box. At a large scale a detail like this is the difference between a model and a true replica: a plastic kit usually offers only a decal or a suggested bump in these places, whereas a separate part casts a shadow and can be turned into position.
The parts are very small, so work with tweezers and over a mat. Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and separate it from the rest with a sharp knife, not with side cutters. It is glued with super glue. Pre-drill a hole of matching diameter in the panel, seat the part and secure it with a drop of glue. Paint only once it is fitted: the body of a switch used to be dark and the toggle metal, and it is exactly that difference that makes the whole effect. You can turn the individual toggles into different positions so the panel does not look dead.
The set is an accessory, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
