Responsibility details are not available.
A set of printed parts reproducing the 20 mm Oerlikon anti-aircraft guns on the mounting designated Mk.IIA in 1:700 scale. The package holds thirty-eight pieces. It is not a ship kit but a replacement for the simplified parts from a kit, or a way of adding the weapons where the kit lacks them.
The 20 mm caliber Oerlikon was the most widespread light anti-aircraft weapon on Allied ships of the Second World War. The gunner aimed it by hand, braced against shoulder rests, and against low-flying aircraft it was effective precisely because of its quick response. Ships were hung with them by the dozen, so on a model it is one of the most frequently repeated details there is.
In 1:700 scale every such part is only a few millimeters across, so work with a magnifier, tweezers and over a box. Cut the print supports away with a new blade and never break them off. Painting is easier before cutting them free, and usually the basic deck shade and a light emphasis of the barrel in a darker color are enough. They are glued with super glue dosed with a pin. Before gluing, check the position of the weapons on the model against the drawing, so that they all point the same way.
