A 3D-printed resin ACES II ejection seat from DEF Model for models of the American A-10 Thunderbolt II ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. This is the version with a wool seat pad, with rich detail on the straps, levers and handles that clearly surpasses the basic plastic part. It is not an aircraft kit but a stand-alone upgrade part for the cockpit.
The ACES II ejection seat was used in a number of American combat aircraft including the A-10 Thunderbolt II. A faithful rendering of the seat is one of the most closely watched features of a model with an open cockpit, because it is clearly visible under a canopy slid back.
Cut the seat from the print supports, wash off the print resin residue and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend spraying a primer, then separating the straps, handles and padding by color and bringing out the recesses with a light wash for depth.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a stand-alone resin part. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
