A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Omask for models of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter in 1:72 scale. The masks help to spray the canopy frames cleanly, and any other surfaces that have to be separated precisely while painting. The result is sharp, straight edges with no hand brushwork. This is not a kit, but an aid for painting. The set is intended for the Eduard or Arma Hobby kits.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British single-seat fighter with a V12 Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and mixed construction, with fabric covering over the rear fuselage. Together with the Spitfire it formed the backbone of the fighter defense during the Battle of Britain and shot down a large share of the attacking machines in it. The many-paned canopy glazing makes masking one of the sensitive stages of the build.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry, then press the mask down at the edges so the paint cannot creep under it. Spray thinly, first with the interior color of the frames, then with the top shade. Peel the mask off while the paint is still fresh, so the edge stays sharp.
Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package. This is a painting aid for masking.
