A set of raised colored decals for the cabin of the late Kittyhawk Mk.IV version in 1:48 scale, for the Eduard kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mk.IV version corresponded to the American P-40N, that is the most numerously built form of the whole family. With it the designers took on the weight: they reduced the armor, cut the fuel supply, fitted lighter wheels and aluminum radiators. The reward was a better rate of climb and a higher speed, though the machine remained the domain of lower altitudes. It made its mark above all in Italy, over Burma and in the southwest Pacific, where Australian and New Zealand squadrons flew it alongside the American units right to the end of the war.
The sheet carries the cabin equipment printed in three dimensions and finished in color. The instrument panel of the late version had the instruments arranged differently from the earlier form and the set respects that. Steel belts for the seat are packed with it as well, which are bent into the required shape and will not return.
The recommended sequence is simple: assemble the tub of the cabin, unify it with paint, let it dry and only then lay the elements. The water must be lukewarm, not hot. Once settled, draw the excess off with a paper tissue and leave the surface alone until the next day, so that the layer adheres completely.
A good choice for anyone who wants a richly articulated interior under a slid-back canopy without improving it with small photo-etched parts. A collector who builds both the desert and the Pacific forms side by side and needs to keep the same level of treatment of the interior between them will appreciate it too. The model of the aircraft itself is not included.
