Do 17Z wheels 1:48 is a resin set of landing gear wheels from Eduard for Dornier Do 17Z models in 1:48 scale. It is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the Brassin range by Eduard replaces the plastic landing gear wheels on a model of the Dornier Do 17Z bomber in 1:48 scale. The package contains the main wheels and the tail wheel with a faithfully rendered tread and flattening (a weighted effect with a flat spot where the wheel meets the ground). It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that raises the realism of the landing gear.
The Dornier Do 17Z, nicknamed the flying pencil for its slim fuselage, was a German twin-engined bomber used above all in the early phases of the Second World War. Detailed wheels with a realistic tire footprint markedly improve the look of a model standing on the ground.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut them off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The weighted tire effect comes into its own if you fit the wheels so that the flat spot meets the surface correctly. The wheels take a primer well and then the separate shading of the rubber part and the hub.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
