This resin detail set brings a finely cast seat with a faithfully rendered harness for a model of the American Convair F-102A Delta Dagger fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but an accessory that replaces the simpler seat from a kit and raises the fidelity of the cockpit. The belts are cast directly in the resin, so there is no photo-etched folding to do.
The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger was an American interceptor with a tailless delta wing from the Cold War era. It was designed to intercept bombers and carried its weapons in an internal weapons bay. The characteristic delta wing and the smooth fuselage shapes made it one of the recognizable machines of its day.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The seat and the belts come alive once they are painted and the detail is lightly picked out.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
