An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern fighter aircraft Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II in 1:48 scale from Kitty Hawk. The model offers a detailed cockpit, openable weapons bays with weapons and rich detail of the landing gear and the airframe. A small photo-etched grille for the finest elements tends to be included as well.
The F-35B is the version of the fifth-generation multirole fighter intended for short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL). Thanks to its swiveling lift fan it can operate from short strips and from ships with a small deck; it is used by the United States Marine Corps and by other operators. The aircraft has stealth shaping and modern sensors.
Join the plastic parts with liquid cement and sand the seams carefully for a smooth airframe surface. Decide whether you will leave the weapons bays open. Apply the gray shades and the matte stealth finishes with an airbrush over a primer; set the fine markings with a decal softener and even out the surface with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
