Anyone who wants to take a jet Sabre beyond the usual level of a box build generally needs more than one accessory item. Eduard answers exactly that situation with the Big Ed package: it brings several of its sets, which would otherwise be bought one by one, together in a single box. The kit of the aircraft has to be obtained separately, as this is purely an upgrade.
The North American Sabre changed continuously during production, and it was with these production blocks that it received the modified wing with an extended leading edge. The change improved its behavior at high altitude and in maneuvers close to the limit of control, which counted for more than anything else in the combats over Korea. Visually it is a detail a layman would not notice, but for a modeler it is the essential distinguishing feature between the versions.
Most of the work takes place in the cockpit, so finish it before you close the fuselage and sand the seams. Bend the metal parts over a sharp edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate applied on the tip of a wire, so that it does not run over a visible surface. Stick the painting masks onto perfectly degreased glazing only, and pull them off carefully while the paint is fresh. The natural metal finish typical of this type calls for a smooth, polished base.
