This small resin set replaces the kit pitot (airspeed) tube with a more accurate and sharper casting. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that visibly refines the nose and the leading edge of your Corsair in 1:48 scale. The part is cast on a protective block that keeps the fine tip safe.
The pitot tube senses the speed of flight, and on the real aircraft it is a thin, precise item. In scale the plastic part tends to be thick and is easily damaged; a resin replacement looks finer and more realistic.
Cut the part off the casting block with a sharp knife, clean it up and fix it with super glue. It is usually enough to paint the tube to match the subject once the surrounding surface is finished. Work carefully, the tip is delicate.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
