An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian fighter biplane in 1:48 scale from Italeri. The box is aimed at the attack and night version of the Falco and contains decals for several marking options. The model faithfully captures the characteristic strutted structure of a biplane with fixed landing gear.
The FIAT CR.42 Falco was an Italian single-seat fighter biplane of the late 1930s that followed on from the successful CR.32. It had an all-metal structure covered with sheet and fabric, fixed landing gear and an open cockpit; an air-cooled radial engine gave it high agility. Despite its outdated concept it was used on a number of fronts, among other things in the role of night fighter and ground-attack machine.
On a biplane, line the upper wing and the struts up carefully and glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. A primer as a base, airbrushing and a gloss coat under the decals are the way to go. It is worth adding the bracing wires between the wings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
